Our premier Rapid Chess Event for 2025, the Tasmanian Junior Rapid Championships!

Where: Sacred Heart College, Pedder Street, Hobart

When: Sunday 29th of June

Competition Divisions:
• Under-18: Year of birth 2007 or after

• Under-16: Year of birth 2009 or after

• Under-14: Year of birth 2011 or after

• Under-12: Year of birth 2013 or after

• Under-10: Year of birth 2015 or after

• Under-8: Year of birth 2017 or after

Prizes will be for each best individual in all of U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

***Note: Players can play up in divisions if they would like, but prior approval from organizers will need to be granted.

As games will be rapid, no notation is required from players.

Time Control: 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move.

Sunday the 29th of June:

Welcome and Registration: 9:30am

Round 1: 10:00am

Round 2: 10:45pm

Round 3: 11:30pm

Round 4: 12:15pm

Lunch Break

Round 5: 2:00pm

Round 6: 2:45pm

Round 7: 3:30pm

Prize giving to be held as close to 4:00pm as possible.
