Our premier Rapid Chess Event for 2023, the Tasmanian Junior Rapid Championships!

Where: Sacred Heart College, 227 York Street, Launceston

When: Saturday 9th of December

Competition Divisions:
• Under-18 : Year of birth 2005 or after
• Under-12 : Year of birth 2011 or after

Prizes will be for each best individual in all of U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

***Note: Players can play up in divisions if they would like, but prior approval from organizers will need to be granted.

As games will be rapid, no notation is required from players.

Time Control: 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move.

Welcome and Registration: 9:00am

Round 1: 9:30am

Round 2: 10:15pm

Round 3: 11:00pm

Round 4: 11:45pm

Lunch Break

Round 5: 1:00pm

Round 6: 1:45pm

Round 7: 2:30pm

Prize giving to be held at 3:30pm
