2025 Tasmanian Interschool Secondary Finals

On the 27th of October, 2025, 103 of our finest secondary students across Tasmanian came together to battle it out to become the best Secondary School in the 2025 Tasmanian Interschool Series. 

The students packed out the very spacious Scotch Oakburn HPEC for the day and were a massive part of the largest chess event ever held in Tasmania! 

69 Secondary Schools played in our Interschool Chess Events for 2025 and 18 Secondary Schools qualified to the Interschool Finals. 

Congratulations to our Secondary Interschool Champion, Thomas Hartwell on an impressive performance of 8/9 wins in the tournament!

Congratulations also must go to Hobart City High for becoming our 2025 Interschool Champions in a hotly contested tournament. Kudos also must go to Calvin Christian for coming 2nd place (=1st) in 2025!

Over the weekend of the 6-7th of December, our Champions, Hobart City High, will compete against the best teams of Australia in the National interschool Finals.
